Hand drawn batik cards for birthdays, as
giftcards, bookmarks, poster wall hangings or calendars. Batik card
craft is simple and easy for children and adults.
Traditional batik craft uses hot wax and rosin in temperatures at times
dangerously near flash point that may cause fire or burns. Batik card
craft cold process has gutta replacing hot wax. Fine outlines in
continuous flow are achieved from metal nib bottle tjanting. A safe and
easy craft. Dried gutta prevents color migration when applied on
watercolor paper and easily removed with dry finger rubbing.
Coloring
with reactive Remazol batik colors similarly used in batik fabrics gives
strong color tones unlike watercolors. Its reactive colors create
beautiful watercolor techniques.
Generally color fixing is not required. If needed clear aerosol, hair
spray or lamination make ideal displays.
