Description

A rugged full-tang bushcraft knife co-designed by BPS Knives and DBK. Made of 1066 carbon steel with a Scandi grind and ergonomic walnut handle for all-purpose outdoor use. A genuine bushcraft knife made in Ukraine.

The Bushmate 2.0 is a premium outdoor knife created by BPS Knives in partnership with DBK (Dutch Bushcraft Knives). Crafted from 1066 carbon steel and hardened to 56–57 HRC, it features a true Scandi grind for optimal cutting, feathering ,carving, and chopping performance. Its full-tang construction and 3 mm thick blade ensure strength in the harshest outdoor environments.  Its spine is flat ground 90 % with  prominent burs for fine wood shavings and ferro rod sparking. The ergonomic walnut handle, treated with Danish oil, offers comfort and control during extended use. Its natural walnut wood color may differ from picture and can be darken with Tung oil. Equipped with a durable leather sheath and fire starter, this knife is field-ready out of the box. Whether you’re hiking, fishing, camp kitchen or deep in the woods, the Bushmate 2.0 is a reliable partner for any bush bashing.

Distinctive thick 3.8mm genuine smooth vegetable tanned sheath with belt and dangler strap attached with heavy duty brass connector and brass rivets. Including the spacer wedge total thickness is 11mm as a rigid sheath. Recommended in outdoor use, the  leather sheath is best protected with wax dipping saturating fibres from drying and cracking. Periodic application with beeswax leather dressing or paste is an alternative. This waterproofing of leather helps to protect rust in storage of cleaned oil carbon steel knife.

The 8mm ferro rod composition of synthetic pyrophoric alloy is protected with a paint coating and set into a walnut wood holder. The knife spine bur efficiently scrapes and ignite sparks to the fine wood shavings in fire starting. Firm strike pressure is required to remove the paint coating for ignation of sparks. When new the leather ferro rod holder is tight. Dampen holder with water and ease rod in slowly to conform in secure storage. Threading a paracord through the wood handle will lock in the ferro rod
