Fine Grog Powder – 1kg

Refractory powder from fired refractory materials like fireclay bricks. Devoid of organic materials through high firing, refractory grog is a stable material with structural and thermal properties. Used to produce refractory castables, mortar, bricks and furnace linings. Added to clay it reduces shrinkages, improves thermal shock resistance, withstand high temperature required in metal melting. Grog added to lightweight clay makes good stable insulation in kiln lining. As a filler with refractory cement it is a stable kiln repair cement. Its white color this fine grog in glaze formulation reduces shrinkages possibly as anti crazing in the right glaze formulation.  Addition to clay body its fineness much reduces fired shrinkages much desired in precision casting. Possible use as a fine abrasive for metal and as a sand blasting media. Conduct trial and research for this versatile refractory powder.
