Sharp carbon steel V cutter from Speedball USA fixed to a wood holder. Suited for fine lino cut and wood block carving of printing templet. This 2mm single bevel V cutter sharpness is best maintained by leather stropping on the outer bevel. Burs raised inside can be removed with a wooden tooth pick. The leather strop need to be dressed with Multifilla metal stropping compound. This wax base stropping compound helps to prevent rust of carbon steel tools. Do not use sandpaper to sharpen as leaves serrationed edge on this minute cutter. Polishing sharpening leaves a fine honed sharp edge.
