An unusual wood paddle to flatten clay, removes air and a convenient well balance paddle in ceramic clay forming. Use in compacting and forming handbuilding clay coiling, clay slab building and re shaping wheel thrown clay crafts. Its natural bark impart nice texture onto the clay. Most clay paddle are devoid of this lovely bark texture. For bark printing spray silicon release agent on to the bark for clean crisp print and release. As a natural texture the bark profile vary not necessary round and might bear knots and burs. Please purchase only upon this understanding and acceptance that nature’s growth is not all perfect.
Paddle timber is hardwood longan or avocado species not widely available as these are mainly grown for it fruits and not commercially available.
After use, scrap clean and wipe down before hang store in ventilated studio. Do not soak in water.
