Seiving with stainless steel mesh 30 to remove impurities. Leave slurry to air dry over several days to thicken. Thereafter wedge on a plaster slab covered with canvas colth. Plaster bat is absorbent and will assist in further clay drying. Wedging removes air bubbles, compact clay and reconstitute moisture dispersion essential before throwing, sculpting or press molding.
This raw clay can be blended with other ceramic materials like silica, feldspar, kaolin, mullite to suitable clay body firing temperature requirement. White ball clay is a plastic clay. Conduct clay test strip firing and glaze compatibility before studio use.
